SmartBoards

With technology rapidly changing and evolving, the classrooms are becoming more and more technology advanced as well.  One of the new and exciting technologies used in most classrooms today is the SmartBoard.  It is similar to a white board in the fact that a person can actually write on it but it must be wrote on with a special style marker.  DO NOT USE ANY OTHER MARKER OTHER THAN THE SPECIAL ONE DESIGNED FOR IT.  It is also like a projector.  You can use it to display powerpoint and other things.  the SmartBoard can be interactive in the way that a person can actually touch the board to move things and make things happen.  It is one of thne best technology intergrating tools avaliable on the market for classrooms today!

Twitter

As most of us know there are many social networking sites avaliable today on the web today for free.  One of the bigger social networking sites out there is a site by the name of Twitter. Twitter is different from most of the other big name social networking sites in one big way. Facebook and Myspace are social networking sites that have many fun things to do such as games, music and quizzses and such on them. Whereas Twitter is more of a "professional" social networking site in the fact that it does not have any games and such on it. It is just straight post a "tweet" and people can comment on it.

Delicious Social Bookmarking

I hadn't given much thought on 21st century technology and the classroom. But, the more that I think about it the more I realized that it really does need to be integrated into the classroom. There are many ways that this could be achieved. One example of a program that could be used to integrate 21st century technology into the classroom is a program called Delicious Social Bookmarking.

Delicious is a free program that allows the user to store, share and discover web bookmarks. It is a very useful for teachers and students as well. The teacher and/or students could use this program to store and share web bookmarks for a class assignment, class project, or a lesson. The teacher or student could just use the program to store fun and entertaining  web bookmarks as well.

Delicious is a very simple to understand and simple to use program. All of the websites and resources stored, shared, or discovered by Delicious are easily found because they are sorted and arranged according tags. These tags are created by the person who shares the website and/or resource on Delicious according to the topic of the posted content.

So, Delicious Social Bookmarking is just one of many programs that could be used to integrate 21st century technology into the classroom.
